Matariki
On the 26 of june Pt england school had to pick what class they wanted to be in, These were the classes you could pick to be in Arts and Crafts, Cooking and Sports mostly everyone went to Arts and crafts, my highlight was that we got to make stars but the thing we had to to do the most in arts and crafts was cutting and folding, i made 6 stars.
Why Matariki is important celebrations are an important way of marking the passage of time as well as heralding new beginnings there is a group of stars also known as the Pleiades star cluster or The Seven Sisters
The reappearance of the seven Matariki stars, in late May or early June, signals the beginning of the Maori New Year. However, not all iwi celebrate at the same time. Some may begin on the first full moon after the star cluster rises, or on the next new moon.

Narrative
One day me Lani Leah Zoe and Jayah went for a walk in the forest Lani was walking at the back and Zoe was walking in the front zoe jumped but when she jumped she turned around and scared me and Leah and Jayah, Jayah screamed then we started laughing but when we stopped laughing there was another laugh we got scared we didn’t know who it was lani ran over to the tree and jumped out in front of us then we heard another laugh we went to where we could hear laughing and we could see Central she was the one who was laughing we never knew she lived in the forest.
We snuck around her and we saw what she was laughing about she was watching her tv we didn’t know there was electricity in the forest so we decided to scare her so Lani jayah and leah went on one side and Zoe and me went on one side 3 2 1 said Lani we jumped out and Central screamed so loud that there was an echo she was embarrassed because she didn’t want us to see her living in the forest but we didn’t care she said what were we doing here and Lani said long story short. Central asked us if we wanted a cup of water, and then we just asked her if she wanted to come with us to Mcdonalds she said yes please so we walked back to the Van when we were going back to the car we got lost we didn’t know what to do we just followed a trail.
it took us to a old rusty looking train track we followed the train track we hoped it didn’t brake because it was SO rusty and old when we reached the end we heard a car we followed the sound it was coming from Centrals house we ran over to her house nothing was there but there was giant footsteps we were wondering what this could be we didn’t know so we just ran and while we ran we couldn’t see Lani we ran and ran and then we saw the van Lani was already in the van we drove out of the forest parking lot and then we saw this man standing in front of the car lani locked the car and we heard this man banging the car when we heard him stop banging the car Lani droved off and we never saw that man again.

Taha Wairua
A game I played with my siblings was run it straight.
Explain the rules of the game you played
so you had to run up to the person and then try and get them to the ground and then when they a on the ground then you get a point.
Who won? My sister because she got me on the floor 5 times and that means she has 5 points and you had to have 5 points to win the game. Who lost? I lost because my sister is big. Was it a draw? Nope
Was it fun? Yes because I love rugby and this game is like rugby. Was it competitive? Yes because its hard to get my sister down.
